Attention! When working with airbags, observe the general safety rules for handling pyrotechnic airbag modules, seat belt pretensioners and battery disconnect devices.
Remove the upper part of the A, B and C pillar trim. Remove the ceiling panel (just lower). Unhook the clamps from the body "1", "2", "3", "4" and "5" upper airbag mounting tabs. To do this, insert, for example, the device "VAS1978/17" "spoon" "arrow" until it stops in the hole "A", as shown in the figure. At the same time, remove the left half of the retainer from the body. Remove the device "VAS1978/17", making sure that the unlocked half of the lock does not snap back into place. Turn the device around "VAS1978/17" 180°. Repeat the same with hole "B".

Disconnect the mounting bracket "1" from the A-pillar.

Pull out the retainer and disconnect the connector "1" of the upper airbag -2 arrow-. Loosen the screw "3" on the upper airbag.
First, disconnect the upper airbag "1" from the body at the front and move it back "arrow B". Disconnect the airbag from the body "arrow A" and remove it.
Installation

First, hook the upper airbag "1" to the body at the rear "arrow A", then move it forward. Hook the upper airbag to the body at the front "arrow B". Secure the upper airbag with screw "1".
Rotate the extreme rear lock "1" 90° downwards "arrow" and press it into the body, Press the remaining locks of the upper airbag until an audible click is heard, starting from the gas generator and moving forward and backward. Check that the locks have snapped into place by pulling. Connect the connector to the squib of the upper airbag. To do this, press the lock: then the connector is brought to the stop and simultaneously fixed in the squib. Check that the locking bar is visible along its entire length and goes straight. This will ensure that the airbag does not twist. Install in the reverse order. Turn on the ignition.

Attention! It is necessary to ensure that no one is in the danger zone.
Connect the battery terminals.
