Warning. Do not connect electrified measuring devices to the airbag terminals. This may cause spontaneous activation of the squib and, as a result, serious injuries.
Attention. To avoid spontaneous activation of the airbags, it is forbidden to use any storage devices. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.
Attention: Before starting any work, turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative terminal from the battery, then wait at least 3 minutes.
Caution: Always work from the side of the airbag module, avoid working opposite the module.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2. Tilt the steering wheel to its lowest position.
3. Pull the steering wheel out completely to the extreme position.
4. Turn the steering wheel until one of the holes (arrows) is in the upper position, as shown in the figure below.

5. Remove the spring (arrow A) in the direction shown (arrow B) using a lever action of a screwdriver (maximum total length of the screwdriver is approx. 170 mm, blade width is 5 mm), as shown in the figure below.
Note: When releasing the spring, push the Airbag module outward from the steering wheel.
6. Repeat the above operation with the second spring.
7. Carefully remove the airbag module from the steering wheel.

8. Disconnect the wiring harness plug connector (1) and, if necessary, also the connector (2) (only for vehicles with multifunction steering wheel).
9. Place the module so that the part covered with upholstery faces upwards.

Caution: Always store the driver's airbag module with the housing facing down and the decorative cover facing up after removal. Never store the airbag module with the cover facing down. Failure to do so may result in serious injury.
Note. Repair of the passive safety system components is not provided. In case of failure, the damaged component is replaced as an assembly.
Attention.
- Do not expose the airbag module to temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Celsius.
- Prevent oil products, solvents and/or water from coming into contact with the airbag module.
Caution: Always replace the airbag module mounting bolts after disassembly and assembly.
Attention.
- Be extremely careful during installation to avoid damaging the airbag module wiring harness.
- Before installing and tightening the mounting bolts, check and ensure that the holes in the module and steering wheel are aligned, otherwise the airbag module may be damaged.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: No one should be inside the vehicle while the battery is being connected.
