Note: The following description applies to the left side of the vehicle, the work on the right side is similar.
Determine the dimension "a". Place the jack for engines and transmission units "VAG 1383A" with a mount for the gearbox under the lower transverse arm "V.A.G 1359/2". Raise the wishbone enough to set dimension "a". Unscrew nut "1" and disconnect strut "2" from stabilizer "3".
Unscrew the "arrow" bolts. Repeat the operations on the opposite side of the car. Remove the stabilizer.
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: The stabilizer struts can only be screwed on when the dimension "a" between the center of the hub and the lower edge of the wheel arch has been established (position of the loaded mass)!
