Removal and installation the coolant temperature sensor «G62» (Skoda Octavia 5E)

The engine is cold. Briefly open the cap "arrow" of the expansion tank of the cooling system to relieve residual pressure in the cooling system. Remove the air filter. Unscrew the screws "arrow". Loosen the clamp-2- and remove the air duct "1".

Cars with manual transmission

Remove the gear selection and engagement cable rods from the gearbox, unscrew the cable supports and put them aside together with the cable rods,

Hang up the wiring harness "1". Unscrew the nut "4" and screws -2, 3-. Press the left coolant pipes slightly to the left.

Note: The left coolant pipes of version 1 are shown as an example. -Arrows- ignore.

Disconnect connector "1". Unscrew pin "2" and remove coolant temperature sensor "G62".

Note: Remove the sealing or spacer ring remaining in the cylinder head using a piece of wire.

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: Replace the sealing rings after removal. Replace the spacer ring if damaged.

Install the left coolant pipes. Check the coolant level.
