Adjusting exhaust system components to relieve stress (Skoda Octavia 5E)

When adjusting the position, the exhaust system components must not be heated. Loosen the threaded connections of the coupling "2".



Press the exhaust system components forward so that the offset of the exhaust pipe suspension is dimension "a" = 5 mm.



Install the coupling with the rotation angle shown. Vehicles with front-wheel drive: angle -α- = approximately 20°. Vehicles with all-wheel drive: angle -α- = approximately 50°. The threaded connections must be on the right. Nuts facing up. Tighten the threaded fasteners of the coupling evenly to a torque of 30 Nm.
