Removal and installation of the neutralizer (cars with engine letter designation CRVC) (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the noise-insulating casing and tunnel lining. Loosen the screws of the coupling "2", leave the coupling in the installation position. Open the clamp "1" and remove. Unscrew the screws "3", move the coupling "2" back and remove the intake pipe "A".



Unscrew the fastening nuts "1", loosen the screws "2" by a quarter of a turn. Remove the engine casing.



Unscrew the screws "arrows" of the coolant pipeline, slightly pull the coolant pipeline forward. Unscrew screws "1" and "3", open and remove clamp "2". Carefully remove the neutralizer by moving it upwards.

Installation

Note: Replace self-locking nuts and screws as well as sealing rings and gaskets after removal. Use clamps identical to those installed at the factory to secure all hoses. Install cable ties in the appropriate places.

Install a new gasket on the centering tip of the neutralizer inlet pipe, put a new clamp on the inlet pipe. Install the neutralizer with a movement from top to bottom so that the threaded pins get into the holes of the lower bracket.
