Removal and installation the intake camshaft seal on the pulley side
Remove the toothed belt from the camshaft pulleys. Unscrew bolt "1" and remove the camshaft gear.
Remove the cuff seal "1" using the puller "T20143/1".
Installation
Note: Do not lubricate the new lip seal.
Push the lip seal "1" over the pressing sleeve "T10478/3" onto the guide sleeve "T10478/2". Installation position: the closed side of the lip seal faces the pressing sleeve. Separate the pressing sleeve and the guide sleeve from each other.
Place the guide sleeve "T10478/2" with the lip seal "1" on the camshaft.
Press the lip seal in until it stops using the "T10478/1" mandrel and the "1" screw of the camshaft pulley. Install the toothed belt (adjust valve timing).
Removal and installation the exhaust camshaft seal on the pulley side
Remove the toothed belt from the camshafts. Unscrew bolt "2" and remove the camshaft gear. Remove the lip seal "1" using the puller -T20143/1-.
Installation
Note: Do not lubricate the new lip seal.
Push the lip seal "1" over the pressing sleeve "T10478/3" onto the guide sleeve "T10478/2". Installation position: the closed side of the lip seal faces the pressing sleeve. Separate the pressing sleeve and the guide sleeve from each other. Place the guide sleeve "T10478/2" with the lip seal "1" on the camshaft.
Press the lip seal until it stops using the T10478/1 mandrel with the T10478/5 screw. Install the toothed belt (adjust valve timing).
Removal and installation the exhaust camshaft seal on the gearbox side
Remove the toothed pulley of the coolant pump. Carefully insert the hook "T20143/1" between the camshaft and the lip seal "1". Pry up and remove the lip seal.
Installation
Note: Do not lubricate the new lip seal.
Push the lip seal "1" over the pressing sleeve "T10479/3" onto the guide sleeve "T10479/2". Installation position: the closed side of the lip seal faces the pressing sleeve. Separate the pressing sleeve and the guide sleeve from each other.
Place the guide sleeve "T10479/2" with the lip seal "2" in the center to the camshaft. Fix the guide sleeve on the camshaft using the screw "1" of the pulley for driving the coolant pump. Push the lip seal onto the camshaft and unscrew the guide sleeve.
Press the lip seal to the stop "2" using the mandrel "T10479/1" and screw "1" of the coolant pump drive pulley. Install the toothed pulley of the coolant pump.
Removal and installation of valve 1 of the valve timing regulator "N₂05"
Disconnect connector "1". Unscrew screw "2" and remove valve 1 of the valve timing regulator "N₂05".
Installation
Installation in reverse order.
Note: Replace the sealing ring.
