Installation of the control unit (Skoda Octavia 5E)

The gearbox is installed in the reverse order of removal. Ensure that the vehicle units are installed without stress. Press the clutch release lever before installing the gearbox to the gearbox housing and secure it with a mounting screw or an M8x35 screw. After installing the gearbox, unscrew the screw back. Then plug the hole with 3 screws securing the drive cable/control cable counter support.

Note: Clean the splined connection of the input shaft and lightly grease with grease for the insert teeth of the clutch disc "G 000 100". Replace the self-locking screws and nuts. When replacing the gearbox, pay attention to the correct installation of the intermediate plate between the engine and the gearbox. Check whether there are relief bushings for centering the gearbox in the cylinder block, install if necessary. Install the starter and wires. If the front left ground clearance sensor of the "G78" vehicle was removed, then the headlight adjustment should be checked. When disconnecting and connecting the battery ground wire, additional work should be performed.
