Removal
1. Remove the rear door trim panel assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
2. Remove the door cover (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
3. Remove the handle cover and the outer door opening handle (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
4. Unscrew the fastening screw (4) and remove the gasket (3), as shown in the figure below.
5. Remove the mounting bracket (1) from the door in the direction of arrow "a" as shown in the figure below.
6. Disconnect the Bowden cable. To do this:
Unlock the bracket (5) and detach the bracket from the support in the mounting bracket (arrow b), as shown in the figure below.
Lift the activation cable bolt and disconnect it from the support (arrow c) as shown in the figure below.
Remove the cable from the mounting bracket (arrow d) as shown in the figure below.
Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
2. Install and tighten the fastening screw (2) to a tightening torque of 1 Nm.
