Removal
1. If there is no access to the wiring harnesses of the clutch elements, it is necessary to remove the air filter housing assembly (for more details, see the corresponding section in the chapter "Intake and exhaust system").
2. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
3. Remove the battery assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter "Engine electrical equipment").
Attention:
- Be extremely careful with brake fluid.
- When performing the work described below, it is necessary to avoid prolonged contact of the skin of the hands with the brake fluid, and also to avoid contact of the brake fluid with the gearbox housing. If brake fluid does get on the gearbox housing, it must be removed with a rag.
- Place a clean, lint-free cloth under the clutch master cylinder.
4. Using a special tool, pinch the compensation hose of the clutch release hydraulic master cylinder. Then, release the mounting clamp and disconnect the compensation hose from the clutch master cylinder.
Note:
- When disconnecting the expansion hose together with the special device, it always becomes deformed. But one way or another, this hose can continue to be used if it is not damaged.
- After removing the special device, it is necessary to check and ensure that the expansion hose has returned to its original shape.
5. Pull the clamp of the clutch release hydraulic tube upward until it stops, then disconnect the hydraulic tube.
6. Seal all channels and pipes of the clutch release hydraulic drive with suitable plugs.
7. Move the driver's seat to the rearmost position.
8. Adjust the steering wheel to the highest position.
9. If provided by the equipment, unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the knee airbag on the driver's side (1), as shown in the figure below (for more details, see the corresponding section in the chapter "Passive safety").

10. Unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the footwell ventilation duct (1) from the driver's side, as shown in the figure below (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter Ventilation, Heating and Air Conditioning Systems).
11. Disconnect from the bracket and remove the universal diagnostic connector (1), shown in the figure below.
12. Unscrew the mounting bolt (2) and detach the deformable strut (1), as shown in the figure below. Then move the stand to the side.
Note: Before removing the clutch master cylinder, cover the vehicle floor with a clean cloth to prevent brake fluid from spilling on the floor.
13. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) from the clutch pedal position sensor as shown in the figure below.
14. Loosen the mounting nuts (arrows) and remove the clutch release pedal mounting bracket (1) as an assembly, as shown in the figure below.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Always replace the self-locking fastening nuts after each disassembly.
1. Install the deformable stand (1) and tighten its mounting bolt (2) to the required tightening torque, as shown in the figure below.
2. Install the universal diagnostic connector on the mounting bracket.
3. Install the air duct for the footwell of the ventilation system on the driver's side (for more details, see the corresponding section in the chapter "Heating, ventilation and air conditioning system").
4. Install the driver's side knee airbag module (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter "Passive safety").
5. Connect the clutch release hydraulic line to the master cylinder.
6. Connect the compensation hose to the master brake cylinder. After removing the special device, it is necessary to check and ensure that the expansion hose has returned to its original shape.
7. Bleed the clutch release hydraulic drive (for more details, see the relevant section in this chapter).
8. Install the battery assembly.
