Note: If the vehicle has been involved in a traffic accident, the technical condition of the driver's and passenger's seat belts of the vehicle is checked only to eliminate all existing defects.
1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position. And make sure that the seat belt warning light is working.
2. Conduct a visual inspection of the technical condition of the seat belts for:
- make sure that the seat belt moves freely in all the fasteners and guides;
- integrity of the seat belt. The surface must not be damaged, otherwise it must be replaced.
3. Check the movement of the seat belt in the inertial tensioner.
4. Snap the seat belt into the seat belt buckle. The seat belt indicator light should go out.
