Attention.
- Always after an accident, it is necessary to perform a complete technical check of the following elements of the passive safety system.
- Inertia seat belt tensioners.
- Seat belt locks (buckles).
- Seat belt tension sensor (if the car is equipped).
- Front seat belt buckle support.
- Seat belt height adjuster.
- Child seat mounting bracket.
- Automatic belt tensioner lock when installing a child seat.
- If any faults or malfunctions in the operation of the seat belts and their components are detected, the entire seat belt system must be replaced. Failure to comply with these instructions may result in serious consequences in the event of an accident.
- After an accident in which the automatic seat belt pretensioners are activated, the pretensioners as an assembly must be replaced.
Removal
Note: On vehicles with an automatic occupant detection system, it is additionally necessary to remove the wiring harness and disconnect it from the seat frame.
1. Remove the front seat assembly (see the relevant section in Chapter Body).
2. Unscrew the mounting bolt (2) shown in the figure below. Tightening torque of the mounting bolt during installation: 40 Nm.
3. Remove the front seat belt buckle (1) as shown in the figure below.
Note.
- The mounting bolt (2) is microencapsulated and must therefore always be replaced after disassembly.
- Before installing a new mounting bolt, clean and, if necessary, wash the threaded portion of the nut.

Installation
1. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
