The automatic belt retraction mechanism has two types of locking action.

The first type of locking is activated if the belt begins to quickly pull out of the automatic retraction mechanism.

1. Pull the belt out of the automatic retractor mechanism with a quick jerk.

If the belt does not lock as a result of this test, the entire seat belt and buckle must be replaced with a new original part.

If a malfunction is detected when retracting or extending the belt, you must first check the correct position of the automatic belt retractor mechanism.

The second type of blocking is activated as a result of the accelerated or decelerated movement of the vehicle.

1. Fasten your seat belt.

2. Accelerate to 20 km/h and then brake completely.

If the belt does not lock as a result of this test, the entire seat belt and buckle must be replaced with a new original part.

Warning: For safety reasons, this test must be carried out on a road with no traffic to avoid endangering other road users.
