Note.
- Necessary special devices, control and measuring devices, as well as auxiliary means:
- Collecting bath for workshop cranes -VAS 6208-.
- Pliers for spring clamps.
Removing
Note. Drained coolant must be drained into a clean container for disposal or subsequent use.
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (1) from coolant blower temperature switch -F18- and unplug wiring harness connector (2) on the fan shroud as shown in the figure below.
3. Disconnect the upper and lower coolant hoses from the radiator connections.
Note. On vehicles without air conditioning, you cannot replace the radiator yourself without a fan for additional cooling.
For vehicles with air conditioning
4. Remove the front bumper (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Body).
5. Remove the front headlights (for details, see the relevant section in chapter Electrical equipment and electrical systems).
6. Remove the screw (at the top of the fan holder), holding the air conditioner piping pipe holder.
7. Remove the radiator assembly.
