1. There is a hole in the transmission housing (see illustration). Make sure that small parts do not fall into this hole when installing the DSG - temporarily close this hole.

2. If the DSG covers are removed, or if there is no working fluid in the DSG, do not start the engine or tow the vehicle without lifting the front wheels off the ground.

3. Before removing bolts, thoroughly clean the area around them and the connection points.

4. When installing the DSG, make sure that the guide bushings between the engine and transmission are correctly seated.

5. Install only clean parts. Remove new parts from packaging immediately before installation. Place the removed parts on a clean surface and cover them. Use plastic bags and paper, or lint-free rags.

6. If repairs cannot be completed immediately, cover the parts.

7. The specifics of working with seals, fixing parts, nuts and bolts are specified in Section 2 Chapter 6.

8. Before touching the control unit, always discharge any static electricity by touching a grounded metal object.

9. DSG has two oil circuits: one for the mechanical part and the other for the block "Mechatronic". Different circuits use different fluids.

10. The released working fluid must not be reused.
