Roof panel, sun visors and their mounting
Ceiling handrail
1 - the movable part of the ceiling handrail;
2 - bolt cover;
3 - screw
The ceiling panel is an independent mounting unit (see fig. Roof panel, sun visors and their mounting). It is pressed from five layers. The outer layer forms a facing pattern, the second layer consists of glass fibers, the third is made of polyurethane foam, the fourth is again made of glass fittings and non-woven textiles on the inside of the panel. The panel is made by hot pressing. On the wrong side of the panel, there is a place for gluing a separating lining that reinforces the panel near the ceiling light. This part has a self-adhesive layer. The ceiling panel for a vehicle without a sliding ceiling unit is different from the roof panel for a vehicle with a sliding ceiling unit. Before mounting the ceiling panel, reinforcement is glued to the lower surface of the roof to prevent deformation and vibration of the roof. The reinforcement is a rigid paper sandwich, in which a honeycomb insert is inserted between the surface smooth layers. Reinforcement thickness 7 mm. Vehicles without a sunroof have reinforcement along the entire lower surface of the roof, vehicles with a sunroof have a sandwich only behind the window frame.
The ceiling panel is fixed at the back with one large plastic cap, covered with an overlay. It is secured at the front with sun visor caps and at the sides with handrail holders. The ceiling panel can be removed and put back on.
Each handrail is bolted with two thread-cutting screws tightened into the side stiffeners of the body frame. The screws are covered with plastic caps, which are part of the plastic cover of the handrail holders. The handrails themselves are movable and attached to holders. They are spring-loaded with two helical springs and are leaning against the ceiling in the main position (see fig. Ceiling handrail).
Sun visors
The sun visors are made of polyurethane foam, reinforced along the contour with steel wire. On their wrong sides there are rectangular mirrors covered with plastic covers. On the sides of the doors, the sun visors have a plastic holder with a hook inserted into the hole, and its cover is attached with one screw to the windshield frame. On the side closest to the longitudinal axis of the car, the visors are fixed with a pin into the holder. After being pulled out of this holder, the visors can be rotated and block the upper part of the side windows of the front doors with them. The holders of the visors serve at the same time as fastening elements of the ceiling panel.
