Tachometer

The beginning of the red sector of the tachometer scale indicates the maximum permissible rotation speed of a run-in and warmed-up engine for all gears. Before the needle reaches this sector, shift to the nearest higher gear or set the automatic transmission selector lever to position "D". It is necessary to shift to a lower gear as soon as the car stops moving smoothly and evenly. During the break-in period, avoid high engine speeds.

Caution: The tachometer needle must not under any circumstances enter the red field of the tachometer scale (risk of engine damage)!

Coolant temperature gauge

Low temperature zone

While the pointer is on the left side of the scale, the engine has not yet warmed up to its operating temperature. Avoid driving at high engine speeds, full throttle, and do not subject the engine to heavy loads.

Operating temperature zone

When the pointer moves to the middle of the scale, the engine has reached its operating temperature. Under increased engine load and higher outside air temperature, the indicator needle may deviate further to the right. This deviation is not significant until the warning symbol on the instrument panel starts to flash.

Caution: Additional headlights and other additional components installed in front of the fresh air intake openings in the engine compartment reduce cooling efficiency.

Fuel gauge

The fuel gauge only works when the ignition is on.

The fuel tank capacity is approximately 50 liters (approximately 60 liters for a vehicle with all-wheel drive). When the gauge needle reaches the minimum fuel level, a warning symbol on the instrument panel will light. At the moment there are still about 8 liters of fuel left in the fuel tank. This symbol reminds you to refuel.

The following message appears on the information display: "Please refuel" ("Refuel").

An audible signal is also given as a warning (one short beep).

Caution: Never use up all the fuel in the tank! Failure to supply fuel regularly can cause misfires or even engine fires. Unburned fuel can enter the exhaust system and damage the exhaust catalytic converter.

Speedometer

Speed alarm

If you exceed the speed limit of 120 km/h, you will be warned by an audible alarm. If the speed drops below this value, the speed alarm is turned off.

Note: This feature is only available on vehicles sold in certain countries.

Odometer

When the ignition is off, the display shows the total distance travelled counter. After turning on the ignition, the daily trip meter indication appears on the display. The counters can then be switched using the reset button.

Daily trip meter (Trip)

The trip meter records the distance travelled by the vehicle since the last reset, in 100m or 1/10 mile increments, respectively.

Fault indication

If any malfunction occurs in the instrument cluster, the trip meter display will constantly show "Error." Have the malfunction repaired as soon as possible at a qualified service station.

Caution: For safety reasons, do not reset the trip meter while the vehicle is moving. This can only be done when the car is stationary!

Note: On vehicles without a multifunction gauge or with an information display, the display shows the readings of both meters simultaneously.

Maintenance indicator

Messages before the scheduled maintenance

Before the next service interval, the symbol appears on the display after turning on the ignition , and also the message: "Oil change in... days."/"Inspection service in... days.".

The remaining mileage indicator in kilometers or days remaining counts down to the service deadline in 100 km or one-day increments.

Messages when maintenance is due

Once the time for maintenance has arrived, the symbol will appear on the display after turning on the ignition and, for example, the following message: "Oil change required!"/"Inspection service required!"/"Oil change and inspection service required!".

Indication of mileage and time remaining until the next maintenance

• Turn on the ignition.
• Press and hold the key (6) shown in the figure above until TO appears on the display.
• Release the key (6).
• The display will show the symbol , for example, the following message: "Maintenance in... km or... days.".

Resetting the maintenance indicator

If the vehicle is configured with a variable service interval, then after the maintenance indicator is reset, the variable service interval is replaced by a fixed one. Therefore, it is recommended to perform the reset only at a service center, whose employees will perform the reset using a diagnostic tester.

Resetting the maintenance indicator when changing the oil

• Turn off the ignition (in a car with the KESSY system, you must also close all doors, the trunk and the hood).
• Press and hold the button (6) on the instrument panel shown above.
• Turn on the ignition. The following message appears: "Reset the oil change indicator? RESETTING OIL CHANGE INDICATOR".
• Release and press the key (6) again.

Resetting the inspection service indicator

• Turn off the ignition (in a car with the KESSY system, you must also close all doors, the trunk and the hood).
• Press and hold the button (6) on the instrument panel shown above.
• Turn on the ignition and hold down the button (6) until the following message appears: "Reset the inspection service indicator? RESETTING INI_TO".

Caution: We do not recommend resetting the service interval indicator yourself, as this may result in incorrect service interval settings, which could result in various malfunctions in the vehicle.

Note:

• Never reset the gauge between service inspections, otherwise the readings may be incorrect.
• When the battery is disconnected, the service interval indicator remains displayed.
• If the instrument cluster was replaced as part of the repair, the service interval indicator must be re-coded. This operation is performed at specialized service stations. After resetting the gauge with extended variable service intervals using the reset button, the data is displayed in the same way as in vehicles with precisely defined extended service intervals. For this reason, we recommend that you reset the service interval only at a service station where this can be done correctly using a diagnostic tool.
