Installation
Installation is in reverse order. When removing seat belt components as part of post-accident repairs, be sure to replace their screws.
Note: Replacement seat belt height adjusters are always supplied with the slider in the lower locking position (this same position is the installation position). If the removed height adjustment device is reinstalled, its slider must be moved to the extreme lower (installation) position.
Insert the height adjustment device "2" into the B-pillar. Tighten the screw "3". Install the guide earring "1" and tighten the screw "4".
Note: When installing the B-pillar trim, do not press the seat belt height adjustment button.
Insert the upper trim of the B-pillar "3" first from the top. The fastening "2" of the sliding part of the upper trim of the B-pillar must be fixed in the pin "1" of the belt height adjustment device "arrow". Spare device for adjusting the height of the seat belt: After installing the trim of the B-pillar, press the slider upwards with force.
In this case, its fixation in the installation position is removed. Perform a functional check, while checking the presence of the following functions: In each of the 3 possible positions, the height adjustment device must be fixed with an audible click (including at the very top). After pressing the seat belt height adjustment button, it should return to the upper position by itself. When the screw is tightened, the guide shackle should remain fully mobile. If any of the above functions are missing, check the installation of the height adjustment device and replace the device if necessary.
