Installation
Installation in reverse order. When removing parts of the seat belts as part of an accident repair, be sure to replace their screws.
Note: Replacement seat belt height adjusters are always supplied with the slider in the lower detent position (the same position is mounting). If the removed height adjustment device is reinstalled, its slider must be moved to the lowest (mounting) position.
Insert height adjustment device -2- into B-pillar. Tighten screw -3-. Install guide eyelet -1- and tighten screw -4-.
Note: When installing the B-pillar trim, do not press the seat belt height adjustment button.
Insert upper B-pillar trim -3- from above first. The fastener -2- of the sliding part of the B-pillar upper trim must engage in the pin -1- of the belt height adjustment device -arrow-. Spare seat belt height adjuster: After installing the B-pillar trim, press the slider firmly upwards.
In this case, its fixation in the installation position is removed. Carry out a functional test, checking that the following functions are present: In each of the 3 possible positions, the height adjustment device must engage with an audible click (including the top). After pressing the button for adjusting the seat belt height should spontaneously return to the upper position. When the screw is tightened, the guide earring must remain fully movable. If any of the above functions is missing, check the installation of the height adjustment device and replace the device if necessary.
