Removal and installation the hub — all-wheel drive vehicles (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the drive shaft. Remove the brake caliper with the brake hose and handbrake cable connected. Hang the brake caliper on the body so that its weight does not load the brake hose. Remove the brake disc. Unscrew the bolts "arrows". Remove the hub.

Caution! Avoid contamination and damage to the seal during work and storage.

Bearing "1" should be stored facing upwards. The hub with the bearing should always be placed on hub "2".



Do not handle the bearing by the inner race. Remove the bearing from the packaging, always laying it on the outer side.

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: The stabilizer struts, suspension arms and hub can only be screwed on when the dimension "a" between the center of the hub and the lower edge of the wheel arch has been established (position of the loaded mass)!
