1. Turn on the hazard warning lights and move the car to the side of the road. Stop the vehicle, set the manual transmission lever to neutral (automatic transmission lever to position "P") and apply the parking brake.
2. Refer to the chapter "Daily checks and troubleshooting" to identify the causes of engine overheating.
3. If the cause of engine overheating is so serious that it is not possible to eliminate it using the methods suggested in the manual, contact a towing service to deliver the vehicle to a service station.
Attention:
- Do not remove the radiator cap when the engine or radiator is hot. Boiling coolant and steam may escape under pressure. This could cause serious injury.
- If the engine constantly overheats, it is necessary to check the cooling system and have the fault corrected at a specialized service station.
