Security alarm (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Increases the level of protection of your car from unauthorized access. If an attempt is made to break into the car, the alarm turns on sound and light alarm signals (further in brief: alarm signal). The security alarm is triggered when one of the following vehicle security zones is violated: hood, trunk lid, doors, ignition switch, vehicle tilt, vehicle interior, vehicle on-board network voltage drop, factory-installed TSU socket. If one of the 2 battery terminals is disconnected with the security alarm activated, the alarm is immediately triggered. The alarm is deactivated when the vehicle is unlocked or the ignition is turned on.

Caution! To ensure the full functionality of the alarm system, make sure all doors are locked, windows are up and the sunroof is closed before leaving the car. The service life of the alarm siren is 5 years.

Turning on

The security alarm is automatically activated approximately 30 seconds after the car is locked. If you unlock the car using the remote control and do not open any doors or the trunk lid within the next 45 seconds, the car is automatically locked and the locks and security alarm are activated. Thanks to this function, an accidentally unlocked car does not remain unlocked.

Shutdown

The alarm system is automatically switched off after the car is unlocked. If the car is not opened within 45 seconds, the alarm system will be switched on again. The alarm system will be reactivated if the driver's door is unlocked with the key within 45 seconds after the car is locked.

Note: If you unlock the vehicle by turning the key in the driver's door lock, after opening the door, you must insert the key into the ignition switch and turn on the ignition within 15 seconds to deactivate the alarm system.

Interior protection and towing protection key

The interior protection system activates an alarm as soon as it detects movement in the interior or the vehicle is tilted.

Shutdown

Turn off the ignition. Open the driver's door. Press the button with the symbol #img2# on the B-pillar on the driver's side. The symbol on the button changes from red to orange. The car will be locked within 30 seconds.

The interior security system and tow-away protection are automatically activated after the car is locked. Disable the interior security system and tow-away protection if the alarm could be triggered by movement inside the car (for example, children or animals), or if the car needs to be transported (for example, by train or water transport), or in case of towing a vehicle,

Caution! An open glasses compartment limits the area of the interior security sensor and reduces its effectiveness. To ensure interior security functionality, always close the glasses compartment before locking the vehicle. When the vehicle is locked, the security alarm is activated even if the locks are not locked. However, interior security is not activated.
