Your vehicle is equipped with a central locking system. The central locking system allows you to simultaneously lock/unlock all doors, the fuel filler flap and the luggage compartment (1). The central locking system has an integrated Safe locking function. When the vehicle is locked from the outside, the door locks are automatically locked. After unlocking, the following occurs (1): All doors, the luggage compartment lid and the fuel filler flap are unlocked. The door switch switches on the interior lighting. The locking system (SAFE) is switched off. The indicator lamp on the driver's door stops flashing. The exterior mirrors fold out to their operating position (2). The anti-theft alarm is switched off. After locking, the following occurs (1): All doors, the luggage compartment lid and the fuel filler flap are locked. The door switch switches on the interior lighting. The locking system (SAFE) is switched on. The indicator lamp on the driver's door starts flashing. The exterior mirrors fold into the parking position (2). The security alarm is activated.

(1) Depending on individual settings.

(2) Only applies when the Infotainment system is activated.

Malfunction indication

If the control lamp in the driver's door first flashes quickly for 2 seconds, then lights continuously for about 30 seconds, and then flashes slowly, contact a service station.

Important! If the car is locked and the door locking system (SAFE) is active, no one should remain in the car, as they will not be able to open the doors or lower the windows from the inside if necessary. Locked doors make it difficult for rescuers to enter the car in an emergency – life-threatening! Locked doors also prevent unauthorised access from the outside – for example, at intersections. In the event of an accident with airbag deployment, locked doors are automatically unlocked so that rescuers can enter the car. If the central locking system fails, only the driver's door can be locked or unlocked with the key. The other doors and the boot lid can be locked and unlocked using the emergency unlocking or locking system.

Key: without remote control/with remote control

Key: without remote control/with remote control

The car comes with 2 keys.

A. Key without remote control

B. Remote control key (radio key)

A transmitter with a power supply element is installed inside the body of the radio key (battery). The receiver is located in the car. The range of the remote control is about 30 m. If the battery is discharged, the range is reduced. The radio key has a folding key bit, which is used for manually unlocking and locking the car, as well as for starting the engine. After repairing or replacing the receiver module in the car, the spare key must be initialized at a service station. Only then can the radio key be used again.

Warning! When leaving the car, even for a short time, always remove the key from the ignition. This is especially important if there are children in the car. Children can start the engine or turn on electrical equipment (for example, email window lifters), which can lead to injuries! Remove the key from the ignition only after the car has come to a complete stop! The steering wheel lock may suddenly activate: risk of accident! If the central lock or alarm responds to remote control only from a distance of less than 3 meters, the battery must be replaced. If you have lost the key, contact a service station to obtain a duplicate.

Unlocking

To confirm that the car has been unlocked, the direction indicators flash twice. If you unlock the car using the remote control and do not open any doors or the trunk lid within 45 seconds, the car will automatically lock again, and the lock blocking and security alarm will be activated. Thanks to this function, an accidentally unlocked car does not remain unlocked.

Locking

When the car is locked, all direction indicators flash once. If the doors or trunk lid remain open after the car is locked, the direction indicators will flash only after closing.

Checking the battery charge

If the red counter lamp B does not flash when you press the button on the radio key, the battery is discharged. Replace the battery.

Caution! Press the lock button on the radio key only when the doors and trunk lid are closed and when you can see the car well. If the driver's door is open, you cannot lock the car with the radio key. The operation of the key may be interfered with by signals located nearby and operating in the same frequency range of radio transmitters. In cars with an alarm system, you can additionally set up confirmation of unlocking/locking with sound signals.

Unlocking/locking - KESSY

KESSY: Zone designation/sensors in the front door handle

Unlockable/lockable locks

A. Front left door

B. Front right door

C. Trunk lid

KESSY System (Keyless Entry Start Exit System) allows you to unlock and lock your car without actively using the key. The key must be in zone A, B or C (at a distance of no more than 1.5 m from the vehicle).

Unlocking

Grasp the front door handle or cover sensor 2 with your entire palm.

Locking

Touch sensor 1 with your fingers. In cars with automatic transmission, before locking the doors, you must set the selector to position P.

Unlocking the trunk door

Press the button in the trunk lid release handle.

Disabling lock blocking

Touch sensor 1 twice within 2 seconds. If sensor 2 and sensor t are covered during unlocking, the car will not unlock. If the car is locked by touching sensor 1, it will not be possible to unlock it by touching sensor 2 within the next 2 seconds – protection against accidental unlocking. The KESSY system can detect a valid key even if it is left in the front part of the overhead console O. Therefore, it is important to always know where the car key is. Always check that the car is locked.

Caution! When you leave the car, the doors do not lock automatically, so monitor the locking process. When leaving the car, the selector must be in position P (1). Otherwise, the car cannot be locked. If the battery charge in the key is weak or completely discharged, it is impossible to unlock or lock the car using the KESSY system. In this case, you must use the emergency unlocking or emergency locking functions of the driver's door.

(1) Valid for vehicles with automatic transmission.

Door lock

If you lock the car from the outside, the door locks are locked automatically. In this case, it is impossible to open the doors using the door handle, either from the inside or from the outside. This fact is indicated by the following message on the instrument cluster display after turning off the ignition: "M" Note the locking of the locks! "8" NOTE THE LOCKING.

If the vehicle is locked and the door lock function is disabled, you can open the vehicle from the inside by pulling the door opening handle.

Shutdown

The locking system is released when the vehicle is locked again within 2 seconds.

Turning on

The door lock system is automatically activated the next time the vehicle is unlocked or locked.

Power-on indication

The indicator lamp in the driver's door flashes quickly for about 2 seconds, then begins to flash evenly at longer intervals.

Power off indication

The indicator lamp in the driver's door flashes quickly for about 2 seconds, then goes out and after 30 seconds starts flashing again, more slowly and at equal intervals.

Important! If the car is locked and the door lock (SAFE) is active, no one should remain in the car, as they will not be able to open the doors or lower the windows from the inside if necessary. Locked doors make it difficult for rescuers to enter the car in an emergency! This function is only valid for certain countries.

Individual settings

The following central locking functions can be individually configured.

Unlocking a single door

This function allows you to unlock the driver's door only. All other doors, the fuel filler flap and the trunk lid remain locked and will only unlock when the unlock button is pressed again.

Unlocking doors on one side of the car

This function allows you to unlock both doors on the driver's side. All other doors, the fuel filler flap and the trunk lid remain locked and will only unlock when the unlock button is pressed again.

Unlocking a car with the KESSY system

This function allows you to unlock either all doors, one door, or both doors from one (left or right) sides of the car. All other doors, the fuel filler flap and the trunk lid remain locked and are unlocked only after the unlock button is pressed again.

Automatic locking/unlocking

All doors are locked starting from a speed of approximately 15 km/h. The button in the boot lid release handle is disabled. After removing the key from the ignition, the car is automatically unlocked. In addition, the driver or front passenger can unlock the car by pressing the central lock button.

The car doors can be unlocked from inside the car at any time and opened by pulling the door handle once.
