Force limitation
Electric tailgate drive (in the future just doors) has a force limiting function. If the lid encounters an obstacle when closing, it stops and a sound signal is emitted. If, when opening or closing the trunk lid, due to too fast boarding, the entire car is jolted, the door may stop.
Manual opening and closing
Opening and closing the trunk door manually is permitted only in exceptional cases. This should be done slowly, without jerking, by pressing the door in the middle.
Caution! You can stop the lid by holding it a little. Never try to push the lid when it is closing electrically. This may damage the electric drive of the boot lid. If you close the lid manually, note that when guiding the lid into the lock, you should press on it in the middle of the edge, above the ŠKODA emblem. Pulling or pressing the lid at the edge can damage the electric drive. Before opening or closing the lid, make sure that there are no objects in the area of its movement that could interfere with the opening/closing of the lid (eg load on a roof rack or on a trailer etc.) - risk of damage to the lid! Make sure that there is at least! 0 cm of free space above the open lid (for example, up to the ceiling of the garage). Otherwise, after unloading the vehicle (for example, unloading luggage) there may be too little space above the open tailgate - risk of damage to the lid! If the lid is loaded (for example, a thick layer of snow), under some conditions the opening process may stop. To restore the drive to working order, remove the weight pressing on the lid. When the lid closes spontaneously (for example, under the weight of snow), an intermittent beep sounds.
Lid drive control

Lid/control zone drive control

Governing bodies
The electric drive of the lid can be controlled using the following controls: the button on the key
Control zones
The system distinguishes 3 zones in which the function of individual controls changes. There are also extreme positions of the cover - completely closed (in a locked castle) and is fully open. Zone 3 limits vary depending on the lid up position setting. If the lid up position is in zone 2, zone 3 is not active. Zone 2 limits vary proportionally to the lid up position setting.
Explanation of symbols in the control description
Upper lid position, setting/clearing setting
Setting
Stop the lid in the desired position (using an electric drive or manually). Press the B key for more than 3 seconds. Saving the new position in memory is confirmed by a sound signal.
Control of the lid drive using handle A
The door drive can be controlled using handle A only when the vehicle is unlocked.
Controlling the lid drive using the B key
The lid drive can only be controlled using key B when the lid is open.
Controlling the lid drive using the button on the radio key and the C button
When the ignition is on, the control of the lid drive using the radio key works. Control of the lid drive using the key
Sound signals
They provide security and inform about the completion of a particular action.
Clearing the setting
Carefully lift the lid manually to the uppermost position. Press the B key for more than 3 seconds. A beep will sound, the previously set height value will be erased from memory, and the basic position of the maximum lid lifting height will be restored. It is recommended to set the uppermost lid position, for example, in the following situations: when there are obstacles when opening the lid (for example, when driving low into a garage); for ease of use (for example, with short stature). The upper position that the lid reaches when opening automatically is always lower than the maximum possible height that can be reached when opening manually.
The lid always rises to the height that was last stored in memory.
Failure in operation
If the battery has been disconnected and reconnected with the trunk lid open, the electric drive system must be activated. Activation means manually closing the lid. As a result, the closed position in the locked lock will be saved as the extreme position of the lid.
