Carefully! The sliding/tilting sunroof must be closed before disconnecting the battery terminals. After disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery, the sliding/tilting sunroof may not work. In this case, turn the rotary switch to position A, pull the notch down and forward and hold. After about 10 seconds, the sliding/tilting sunroof opens and closes again. Only then can the rotary control be released. After disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery, the sunblind may not work. In this case, turn the switch to position A, press and hold the G button. After about 10 seconds, the sunshade will open and close again. Only then can the rotary control be released.
Sliding/tilting sunroof rotary switch
Comfortable position
Turn the switch to position C. If the sliding/tilting sunroof is in the comfort position, the intensity of aerodynamic noise is reduced.
Partial opening
Turn the switch to position D.
Full opening
Turn the switch to position B and hold it (non-latching position).
Hatch up
Turn the switch to position A. Push the knob in area E up towards the roof.
Closing
Turn the switch to position A. Pull the switch by notch E down and forward.
Force limitation
The tilt/slide sunroof has a closing force limiter function. The sliding/tilting sunroof stops and retracts a few centimeters if any obstruction (for example, ice) won't let it close. The sliding/tilting sunroof can be closed completely without force limitation. To do this, pull the rotary switch with notch E down and forward until the sunroof is fully closed.
Opening and closing the sunblind
Sunblind controls
The sunblind can be opened or closed using the keys.
Opening
To fully open, briefly press the F key. To open to the desired position, press and hold the F key. When the key is released, the opening process stops.
Closing
To fully close, briefly press the G button. To close to the desired position, press and hold the G button. When the button is released, the closing process stops.
Comfort sliding/tilting sunroof control
The sliding/tilting sunroof can be operated when locking or unlocking with the key and via sensor 1 of the KESSY system.
Closing
Press and hold the key with the symbol on the key, or hold the key in the driver's door lock in the locked position, or hold your finger against KESSY sensor 1. When the locking stops or when the KESSY 1 sensor is released, the closing process is interrupted immediately.
Hatch up
Press the key with the symbol on the key and keep it pressed.
Note: It is not possible to open the sliding/tilting sunroof using Comfort operation.
