The battery is located under cover A. We recommend having the battery in the key replaced by a service company. If you want to replace the battery yourself, proceed as follows. Pull out the beard of the key. Slide the battery cover off with your thumb or with a flathead screwdriver at the location shown by arrows 1. Push the battery down at the location of arrow 2 and remove the dead battery from the key. Insert a new battery. Install the cover on the key and press it until it locks with a characteristic click.
Note: If after replacing the battery you are unable to open or close the vehicle using the radio key, you need to synchronize the key. The battery in the key with a glued decorative overlay cannot be replaced without damaging this overlay. A new decorative trim can be purchased from a SKODA dealer.
Remote control synchronization
If the vehicle does not unlock when the remote control is activated, it is possible that the key is not working. synchronized. This can happen after repeatedly pressing the key of the radio key outside the system coverage area, or after replacing the battery. Key synchronization is performed as follows. Press any key on the radio key. Not later than 1 minute after pressing the button, unlock the door by turning the mechanical key.

Turn the cover in the opposite direction of the arrow to open the cover. Replace battery. Replace the battery compartment cover. Turn the cover in the direction of the arrow to the mark of the original position and fix it.
