Note:
- When the ignition is on, the remote control is automatically deactivated.
- The remote control may sometimes be interfered with by nearby transmitters operating in the same frequency range (for example, a mobile phone, a radio station).
- If the central locking or alarm system only responds to remote control from a distance of less than three meters, the battery needs to be replaced.
- If the driver's door is open, the car cannot be locked using the radio key.

To confirm that the vehicle is unlocked, the direction indicators flash twice. If you unlock the car with button (1) and do not open any door within 30 seconds (or the trunk lid), the vehicle is automatically relocked and the self-locking system and alarm system are activated. This feature ensures that an accidentally unlocked vehicle does not remain unlocked.
In addition, when the vehicle is unlocked, the position of the seats and outside rearview mirrors is adjusted according to the key. The saved settings for the driver's seat and outside mirrors are recalled from memory.
Locking indication
To confirm that the vehicle is correctly locked, the direction indicators flash once. If the doors or trunk lid are open after the vehicle is locked, the direction indicators will flash only after the doors or trunk lid are closed.
Caution: If the vehicle is locked from the outside and the door locking system (SAFE) is engaged, no one should remain inside the vehicle, as they will not be able to open the doors or lower the windows from the inside if necessary. Locked doors make it difficult for rescuers to enter the vehicle in an emergency – life-threatening!
Note:
- Press the lock button on the remote key only when the doors and trunk lid are closed and you can clearly see the vehicle.
- When entering the vehicle and inserting the key into the ignition, be careful not to accidentally press the lock button
on the key to prevent the car from being locked unintentionally. If this does happen, press the unlock button
on the radio key.
Synchronizing the remote control
If the vehicle does not unlock using the remote control, it is possible that the code for the key and the control unit in the vehicle no longer match. This may occur after repeatedly pressing the radio key button outside the system's coverage area or after replacing the battery.
Therefore, it is necessary to synchronize the code as follows:
- press any key on the radio key,
- after pressing the key, unlock the door with the key within a minute.

on the key to prevent the car from being locked unintentionally. If this does happen, press the unlock button
on the radio key.
