Removal



Caution: Turn off the ignition and wait at least 30 seconds before disconnecting the wiring harness connector.


1. Disconnect the wiring harness connector (2) shown in the figure below from the parking brake servo motor (1).

2. Unscrew the mounting bolts (arrows) of the parking brake activation electric motor, shown in the figure below.

3. Pull out the parking brake motor and set it aside without disconnecting the wiring harness connector from it.

4. Remove the sealing ring.

Note: When removing the sealing ring, be extremely careful not to damage the groove underneath it.


5. Thoroughly clean the groove for installing the sealing ring.

Installation



1. Lightly lubricate the new sealing ring and install it into the groove. Make sure that the sealing ring does not twist.

3. Carefully install the parking brake servo motor into the caliper, making sure the O-ring is seated properly.

Note: If necessary, turn the spindle back using a Torx E11 (A) head until the electric motor can be installed in place.

4. Turn the parking brake motor until the hole is aligned with the threaded part.

Note: Ensure that the parking brake servo motor is installed flush with the brake caliper.


5. Tighten the mounting bolts first by hand, then tighten them to the required tightening torque (arrows), as shown in the figure below.

6. Connect the wiring harness connector (1) shown in the figure below.

7. Perform basic settings of the brake system using special diagnostic equipment.
