Removal
1. Remove the front driver's airbag module (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter Passive safety).
2. Remove the steering wheel assembly (for more details, see the relevant section in the chapter Steering).
3. Release the steering wheel position adjuster locking lever.
4. Pull the steering wheel towards you as far as possible and lower it as far down as possible.
5. Detach the instrument panel trim panel together with the upper part of the steering column trim panel (1) from the clips as shown in the figure below.
6. Remove the upper part of the steering column trim panel assembly (1).
7. Unscrew the mounting screws (2) of the lower part of the steering column trim panel, as shown in the figure below. Tightening torque of the mounting screws during installation: 1.5 Nm.
8. Disconnect from the clips and remove the lower part of the steering column trim panel (1), as shown in the figure below.
Installation
Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
