Glove box — removal and installation (Skoda Rapid NH1)

Removal

1. Remove the instrument panel side cover from the passenger side.

2. Unscrew the mounting screws shown in the figure below with arrows. The tightening torque of the mounting screws during installation is 1.5 Nm.

3. Unscrew the mounting screws (1) and (2) inside the glove box housing, as shown in the figure below. The tightening torque of the mounting screws during installation is 1.5 Nm.

4. Unscrew the mounting screws (3) and (4) shown in the figure below. The tightening torque of the mounting screws during installation is 1.5 Nm.

5. Disconnect the glove box assembly from the instrument panel.

6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the passenger front airbag deactivation switch.

7. Disconnect the glove box cooling system inlet hose.

8. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the glove box light.

9. Remove the glove box assembly from the vehicle interior.

Installation

Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.

Note: Before installation, check the technical condition of all fastening elements for damage, replace fastening elements if necessary.
