Warning: Traffic accident involving activation (by turning on the starting device) airbag system modules.
It is essential to replace the following parts with new original parts:
- Central control unit for the Air bag system VW 1)
- Airbag airbag module on the driver's side 2)
- Airbag module, passenger side, front seat 2)
- Side module of the inflatable airbag on the driver's side 2)
- Side airbag module on the front passenger side 2)
- Seat upholstery³
- Driver's Side Inflatable Airbag Head Module 2)
- Airbag Head Module on Front Passenger Side 2)
- Upper panel (upholstery) of the rack 4)
- Upper panel (upholstery) of the rack 4)
- Upper panel (upholstery) of the rack 4)
- Shaped roof trim 4)
- Return ring with guide slip ring 5)
- Pre-tensioner with seat belt for driver 2)
- Belt pre-tensioning device with safety belt for front seat passenger 2)
1) In case of triggering (starting device activation) front and side airbags or airbags for head protection and release of devices for pre-tensioning belts, it is possible to use the part again - a total of 3 times.
2) In the event that a trigger occurs (turning on the starting device).

4) In the event that a trigger occurs (turning on the starting device) head protection module.
5) In the event that a trigger occurs (turning on the starting device) airbag module for the driver.
Note.
- If necessary (established as a result of visual inspection) all damaged parts must be replaced with new original parts.
- After replacing the control unit and other damaged parts, the control unit must be re-coded.
- Non-detonation traffic accident (by turning on the starting device) airbag system module.
- If the indicator for the Airbag system (K 75) does not indicate any malfunction and the Airbag system components are not damaged, there is no need to replace any of the Airbag system components. The seat belts should be checked separately.
Registration of Airbag parts
When replacing parts of the Airbag system with new original spare parts, it is necessary to remove the self-adhesive plates with numbers from the following parts and stick them into the document No. spare part 000 010 100 A and send them to the Service Maintenance Department for registration (Czech Republic) or to the importer (other countries):
- Central control unit of the Airbag system.
- Inflatable airbag module for the driver.
- Airbag module for front passenger.
- Driver's side airbag module together with seat upholstery.
- Side airbag module on the front passenger side together with the seat upholstery.
- Driver side side impact acceleration sensor.
- Side impact acceleration sensor on the front passenger side.
- Driver side impact pressure sensor.
- Front passenger side impact pressure sensor.
- Airbag module for head protection on the driver's side.
- Airbag module for head protection on the front passenger side.
- Shaped roof lining for the Airbag head protection airbag.
