Two keys are always supplied with the vehicle. Depending on the equipment, your vehicle may have keys without a remote control or keys with a remote control.
Keychain
One of the keys has a plastic keychain attached to it, with the key number on it. You can use this number to ask service stations for a spare key at any time. The keychain with the number should be kept with special care, because if the key is lost or damaged, it is only possible to order a spare key using this number. For this reason, we ask that you pass the keychain on to the new owner when selling the car.
Attention.
- If you leave your car, even for a very short time, do not leave the keys in the car. This applies especially if there are children inside the car. Children could start the engine or turn on electrical equipment (eg electric window) - risk of injury!
- Pull the key out of the ignition only after the car has come to a complete stop. Otherwise, the steering wheel shaft lock may suddenly lock - risk of accident!
- Each key contains electronic components, so it should be protected from moisture and strong shocks.
- The key slots must be kept perfectly clean, as contamination (textile fibers, dust, etc.) have a negative impact on the operation of locks, ignition switches, etc.
Note: If you lose your key, please contact your service center where they will provide you with a spare key.
