Oil filter — removal and installation (1.2L MPI engine) (Skoda Rapid NH1)

1. Unscrew the screw plug to a height of (a) (arrow) (or 3 turns), leave it in this position for at least one minute to allow the oil to drain from the filter element.

Note: If the threaded plug is completely removed without waiting, oil will enter the alternator.

2. Remove the threaded plug with the filter element holder of the oil filter.

3. Lightly tap the threaded plug with the filter element holder of the oil filter (1) on a hard surface (3) (for example a wooden board) (arrow), which releases the filter element of the oil filter (2).



4. Carefully insert a screwdriver into the slot (arrow) in the threaded plug, press out the circular sealing ring, as shown in the figure below.

5. Install a new O-ring.



6. Install a new oil filter element, tighten the threaded plug to 25 Nm.
