Oil pump — removal and installation (1.2L MPI engine) (Skoda Rapid NH1)

1. Remove the oil pan.

2. Loosen the screw (1), remove the oil pump chain casing (2) from the clamps at the section (arrow).



3. Unscrew the screw (2).

4. Move the oil pump drive chain tensioner (4) in the direction of the arrow, remove the oil pump chain sprocket from the oil pump. The oil pump chain sprocket remains in the oil pump chain.

5. Loosen the screws (1) and remove the oil pump from the cylinder block.



6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Note.

• The oil pump must be on the centering pins: tighten to 24 Nm.
• Replace the oil pump chain sprocket screw; tightening torque: 20 Nm + 90° (¼ turn).
