Oil and oil filter — removal (Skoda Kodiaq NS7)

Replace the oil filter

Note: The oil filter does not usually need to be replaced.

Removal

1. Move the selector lever to position "P".

2. Remove the air filter.

3. Remove the battery with the bracket (for more details, see the corresponding section in the chapter "Engine electrical equipment").

Note:

• There is still some residual oil in the filter. When you unscrew the filter, it flows out.
• Before unscrewing the oil filter, cover it with a sufficient amount of rags.

4. Loosen the filter housing -arrow- first by approximately 7 turns.

5. Wait about 10 seconds.

Note: This will allow the oil to drain from the filter into the gearbox.

6. And only after this remove the filter housing and oil filter.
