1. Installation is carried out in reverse order. In this case, it is necessary to take into account the following:
  • Thoroughly clean oil-stained areas on the gearbox.
  • Insert the oil filter with the "arrow" belt facing down, as shown in the picture below.
  • Screw in the filter housing and tighten it to a torque of 20 Nm.

2. Further installation is carried out in reverse order.

3. Check the oil level and add oil.

Checking and adjusting the oil level to normal

Note.

Conditions:
  • The car is positioned horizontally, all lift supports are located at the same height.
  • The soundproofing casing has been removed.
  • The tester is connected.
  • At the start of work, the oil temperature does not exceed 50°C.
  • Test temperature: 35-45°C

Examination

1. Turn on the tester and identify the vehicle in the "Guided Functions" mode.
  • Select DSG gearbox.
  • Select Check Oil Level.

Note:
  • If the oil temperature exceeds 45°C, you should wait until the gearbox cools down.
  • The engine is idling, the selector is in position "P".

2. Install a device for pumping out and collecting used oil "VAG 1782" under the gearbox.

3. Unscrew the oil drain plug.

3. Unscrew the oil drain plug.

4. Replace the "arrow" sealing ring of the plug.

Note: Even if the oil level is too low, a small amount of oil will initially flow out of the dipstick tube as it is added while the engine is running.

5. Allow excess oil to drain.

6. When the oil stops flowing (and it will only drip), screw in the plug with a new sealing ring.

7. If oil does not flow out, add more.

7. If oil does not flow out, add more.

Addition

1. Before screwing the oil filling adapter -VAS 6262 A- onto the filling tank, measure the length of the ventilation tube, dimension "a", and shorten it if necessary.

Size "a" = 210 mm

Note: Dimension "a" is measured from the end of the tube (marked in green in the close-up) adapter for filling oil "VAS 6262A".

2. Screw the oil filling adapter -VAS 6262 A- into the inspection hole by hand.

Note: Shake container before opening.

3. Pour 1.0 liter of oil

4. Disconnect the "VAS 6262" oil filling adapter from the quick-release fitting and check:
  • If oil is leaking from the adapter hole:

No oil top-up required.

5. Allow excess oil to drain.

6. When the oil stops flowing (and it will only drip), unscrew the adapter -VAS 6262 A- and screw in the plug with a new sealing ring.
  • If oil does not drip from the hole:

7. Pour another liter of oil.

Attention:

Both underfilling and overfilling of oil have a negative impact on the operation of the gearbox.
  • Tightening torque of the drain plug: 45 Nm.

Tightening torque of the drain plug: 45 Nm.
