Cross wall of the passenger compartment - mounting plate
1 – mounting plate; 2 – bolt; 3 – sealing mastic
The cross wall of the passenger compartment is a steel stamping with recesses for increased rigidity. In some places, bolts are welded to it for fastening subassemblies. After assembly, it is applied to the cross wall of the body from the cabin side and secured with ten bolts (with hex head). Before installation, adhesive mastic is applied to the edge along the contour (section A1–A1), sealing the plate after fastening to the frame (section A–A). The transverse wall can be of several types depending on the assembly technology with the body or on some other defining characteristics of the car.
