The center tube is the main load-bearing structure with welded brackets on which the steering column assembly, front passenger airbag and instrument panel are mounted. It also has plastic clamps for wiring bundles. The central tube itself is a thin-walled seamless steel tube with an outer diameter of 60 mm.
After installing all the parts, the central tube is fixed on the sides with the front pillars of the body, with one support to the central side member of the body frame (from the driver's side) and a longitudinal bracket to the upper part of the transverse wall in place of the steering column (see fig.
