Removal
1. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
2. After parking the vehicle on a level, horizontal surface, set the front wheels to the straight-ahead position; the steering wheel center plug must be horizontal.
3. Using a screwdriver, remove the cover from the center of the steering wheel (see photo).
4. Unscrew the steering wheel nut.
5. Check for alignment marks between the steering wheel and steering column; if there are no marks, make them yourself (see photo).
6. Grab the steering wheel with your hands, then rock it and remove it from the steering column grooves (see photo). It is permissible to hit the wheel with your palms, but not with a hammer.

Installation
7. Make sure that the steering column grooves are clean and that the turn signal release tab is pressed against the back of the steering column and the clamp screw is horizontal (see photo).
8. Install the steering wheel by aligning the marks.
9. Tighten the steering wheel nut to the specified tightening torque Specifications (see photo).
10. Install the center cover and connect the negative cable to the battery.
