Instruction. When working on vehicles with air conditioning and working with R 134a refrigerant, observe the safety regulations and the instructions for working on the refrigerant circuit. Do not start the engine if the refrigerant lines are not connected to the compressor and the holes in the compressor are plugged (danger of overheating in the internal lubrication circuit). If the refrigerant circuit is disconnected, the dryer does not need to be replaced. When disconnecting the ground wire from the battery, follow the disconnection procedure.
1. Expansion valve
2. Coupling for refrigerant pipelines - low pressure circuit; nut, 8 Nm; replace after seal separation
3. Coupling for refrigerant pipelines - high pressure circuit; nut, 8 Nm; replace after seal separation
4. Refrigerant recovery and charging valve: high pressure circuit: only for measurement, refrigerant charging and recovery; cap with seal, be sure to screw on
5. Container with liquid with desiccant
6. Outside temperature sender -G17-: under the front bumper on the left
7. Condenser with receiver and dryer
8. Safety valve (refrigerant discharge in case of overpressure): replace sealing ring; tightening torque: 10 Nm
9. Air conditioner compressor: with air conditioner compressor regulating valve -N280- (not replaced separately)
10. Refrigerant piping bracket
11. High pressure sender -G65-
12. Refrigerant recovery valve: low pressure circuit; cap with seal, be sure to screw on
13. Refrigerant piping bracket
14. Air quality sensor -G238-: Climatronic only
15. Refrigerant piping with internal heat exchanger; between condenser and air conditioning compressor
16. Air pollution sensor -G238-: only available in conjunction with Climatronic; can be checked with the Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" mode"
17. Air intake grille
