Attention! Do not attempt to disconnect the refrigeration line under any circumstances!
1. The only procedure that does not require disconnecting the refrigeration lines is replacing the compressor drive belt. A detailed description of this procedure is given in the relevant Parts of Chapter Routine maintenance. All other procedures are beyond the skill level of the average amateur mechanic and should be left to a professional service center.
2. If necessary, the compressor can be unbolted and moved to the side after removing the drive belt without disconnecting the lines in order to provide access to other components of the engine compartment.
