Removal and installation upholstery and padding of the front seat cushion
Remove the front seat. Remove the front seat belt buckle. Remove the seat trim on the tunnel side. Remove the seat trim on the door sill side: Seat, not height adjustable. Remove the clamping profiles "1" from the seat frame "2".
Fold the upholstery around the perimeter "2" upwards and remove all upholstery clips "1". Remove upholstery "2" from stuffing "3".
Remove the front seat cushion "1" from the seat frame "2".
Installation
Secure the upholstery "1" with new clips "2" in the designated places "3" using the pliers for the cushion clips "V.A.G 1634".
Installation in reverse order.

Note: When dismantling, take care not to damage the backrest cushion. Removal and installation of components are described for the left seat. Removal and installation of components for the right seat are carried out in a similar manner.
Remove the front seat. Pull out the head restraint. Remove the front seat belt buckle. Remove the seat trim on the tunnel side. Remove the seat trim on the door sill side: Seat, non-height adjustable. Seat, height adjustable. Unhook the clamping profile at the bottom of the trim. Fold the trim "1" of cushion "3" upwards and remove all the clamps of cushion "2".
From the back side, fold up the upholstery "2" of the cushion "3" upwards and remove both clamps of the cushion "1". Fold up the upholstery "2" higher and remove along the headrest guides.

Slide the upholstery "1" onto both headrest guides and remove it from the seat back frame "2".
Installation
Place the upholstery on the seat back frame. Secure the upholstery "1" with new clips "2" in the designated places "3" using the pliers for the cushion clips "V.A.G 1634".
Installation in reverse order.
