Front seat covers and upholstery (Skoda Fabia 5J)

Important: Removal of the upholstery is carried out with the seat removed.

1 - Headrest guide bushings

By pressing the locking fastener "arrow", for example with a suitable screwdriver adapted for this purpose, pull out the guides.

Installation

The guide should be pressed downwards into the back frame clamps.

4 - Cross wire of the back frame
5 - "Airbag" module (depending on the vehicle's equipment)
6 - Wiring harness for the "Airbag" module
7 - Wiring clip for the "Airbag" airbag
8 - Backrest padding wire made of foam plastic
9 - Upholstery clamps
10 - Heating element wiring (depending on the vehicle's equipment)
11 - Heating element (depending on the vehicle's equipment)
12 - Upholstery

Remove the headrest. Separate the backrest from the seat base. Remove the headrest guides (item 1). Completely unhook the clamping profile (item 14) on the underside of the upholstery. Remove the upholstery by approximately 1/4. Remove the blind covers from the holes in the lower part of the backrest and unhook the longitudinal wires of the backrest frame (item 3). Cut the clamps (item 9) with scissors. Thread the heating device cable (item 10) through the upholstery. Unhook the tension elastics. Fold the upholstery upwards. Use scissors to cut the second row of clamps (item 9). On the back side of the back, disconnect the cross wire of the back frame (item 4). Use scissors to cut the clamps of the longitudinal back wire (item 3). After disconnecting the longitudinal back wire on the back side, thread it through to the end side. Fold the upholstery upwards and cut the longitudinal wire clamps. Remove the upholstery from the back. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of actions.

Important: Ensure that the upholstery is tensioned correctly.

13 - Reinforcement. Sewn with upholstery "12". With holes for attaching clamps "9".
14 - Upholstery clamping profile. Sewn with upholstery.
15 - Foam plastic padding

Remove the upholstery (item 12). Remove the foam padding from the backrest frame. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of actions.

1 - Upholstery

Remove the back. Remove the clamping profile (item 4) from the seat base frame (item 5). Cut the clamps (item 3) with scissors. Remove the upholstery from the seat cushion. Installation should be carried out in the reverse order of actions.
