Note: If the drive shaft mounting bolt is unscrewed more than 90°, the wheel bearing must not be loaded with the weight of the vehicle, i.e. the vehicle must not stand on the wheels. If the wheel bearing is loaded with the weight of the vehicle when the drive shaft mounting bolt is unscrewed, the inner bearing will be damaged, which will reduce its service life. If the vehicle must be mounted on the wheels or moved, the following must be observed: Install the outer CV joint instead of the drive shaft. Tighten the mounting bolt (use removed) outer joint with a torque of 120 Nm.
Remove the wheel. Remove the noise-insulating casing. Remove the drive shaft protective screen from the engine (if available). Loosen the nuts of the "arrow". Disconnect the triangular lever from the ball joint. Pull the hinge shaft out of the wheel hub and secure it to the body. Install the wedge "T10161" between the gearbox housing and the tripod joint. Knock out the inner joint by hitting the wedge "T10161" with a mallet from the gearbox. Remove the hinge shaft.

Installation
Insert a new retaining ring into the shaft cutout. Set the splines of the inner joint shaft and the gearbox so that they engage. Grasp the cardan shaft with your hand and push it into the inner joint element until it stops. Now push the inner joint element immediately into the gearbox.
Note: Never use a hammer or similar impact tools!
Check the reliability of the cardan shaft fit in the gearbox, while pulling the inner hinge element against the resistance of the retaining ring.
Note: For this check, pull out only the joint element and not the joint shaft.
Release the propeller shaft from the body. Insert the outer joint into the splines of the wheel hub as far as possible. Screw the ball joint to the triangular lever "arrows". Install the protective screen of the drive shaft on the engine (if available). Install a soundproofing casing.
Note: Check the ball joint boot for damage or kinks.
Tighten the drive shaft to hub mounting bolt.
Note: The car should not stand on its wheels, as this will damage the hub bearing.
Tighten the wheel mounting bolts.
