Removal and installation the rear axle toe-in rod — front-wheel drive vehicles (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Measure dimension "a". Remove the wheel. Unscrew nut "1" and disconnect strut "2" from stabilizer "3".



Unscrew the bolts "arrows" of the stabilizer mounting clamp "1". Move the stabilizer slightly to the side.



Unscrew nut "1" and bolt "3". Unscrew screw "3". Unscrew screw "4". Remove rear axle cross rod "2".

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: The rear axle cross tie rod may only be bolted on when the dimension "a" between the centre of the hub and the lower edge of the wheel arch corresponds to a certain value (gross curb weight)!

Check the wheel alignment angles.
