Tighten the car to the lift using the T10038 tie-down straps.

Caution! Otherwise, it may slip off the lift!
Install a jack for engines and transmission units, for example, "VAG 1383A" "1" under the stabilizer bar and support it slightly. Unscrew bolts "2" and "3".

Mark the installation position of the support bracket on the body. Unscrew the support bracket screws "arrows". Remove the longitudinal arm together with the support bracket.

Installation
Installation in reverse order. Tighten the screws "arrows" to the marked installation position - to the "old imprint". Install a jack for engines and transmission units, for example, "VAG 1383A" "1" under the stabilizer strut and slightly support it. Tighten bolts "2" and "3" by hand.
Note: The stabilizer struts, suspension arms and hub can only be screwed on when the dimension "a" between the center of the hub and the lower edge of the wheel arch has been established (position of the loaded mass)! Monitor the position of the trailing arm and the hub bearing housing.
Installation position of the trailing arm and wheel hub bearing housing
Tightening the bolts securing the trailing arm to the hub bearing housing is only possible after installing all other suspension components (the spring and shock absorber must be installed). To tighten, the hub bearing housing must be in the position corresponding to the curb weight. Only in this case the trailing arm and hub bearing housing will be set to the required "arrow" position for tightening the bolts.

Check the wheel alignment angles.
