Reading lights

Turning the reading lights on and off

If controlled by a door switch, the lights turn on when one of the following conditions is met: the vehicle is unlocked, one of the doors or the trunk is opened, the ignition key is removed from the lock. If controlled by a door switch, the lights turn off when one of the following conditions is met: the vehicle is locked, the ignition is turned on, approximately 30 seconds after all doors are closed.

Note: If the interior light remains on when the ignition is switched off or when one of the doors is open, the light switches off after about 10 minutes. The front interior light has 2 diffused light lamps built into it to illuminate the gearshift lever and the middle part of the dashboard. They switch on automatically when the parking lights are switched on. At the same time, after the ignition is switched on (with the parking lights on) the door handle illumination turns on.

The indicator lamp is located at the bottom of the door trim. The lamp switches on and off when the front door is opened or closed. In cars without this indicator lamp, a reflector is located here.

Note: If the door is open and the ignition is off, the lamp goes out automatically after about 10 minutes.

Illumination of the space near the door threshold

The door sill light is located on the underside of the outside rearview mirror and illuminates the area around the front door sill. The light comes on after the car is unlocked or when the front door is opened. The light goes out approximately 30 seconds after the doors are closed or when the ignition is turned on. If the door is open and the ignition is turned off, the light goes out automatically after approximately 10 minutes.
