Removal and installation the actuator of the thermostat «N493» (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Remove the coolant pump. Remove the throttle control unit "J338". Disconnect the coolant pipe from the intake manifold "arrows".



Lift the fastening brackets "1" and disconnect the cooling system hoses. Pos. "2" can be ignored.



Disconnect connector "1" from thermostat actuator "N493".



Loosen bolts -1...5-. Remove thermostat actuator "N493" from mounting pins and from engine oil cooling radiator.

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: Replace gaskets and sealing rings.

Wet the sealing rings "4" with coolant concentrate, coolant concentrate. Check whether there are both mounting pins in the cylinder block, install if necessary. Insert the connecting pipe "2" into the engine oil cooling radiator "1". Install the thermostat actuator "N493" "3" onto the connecting pipe and slide it onto the mounting pins.

Tighten the screws securing the thermostat actuator "N493", install the coolant pump. Fill with coolant.
