Removal and installation the toothed belt for the coolant pump (Skoda Octavia 5E)

Drain the coolant. Remove the air filter housing. Release the wire harnesses -1 and 2-, secured to the air duct. Loosen the clamp "3". Unscrew the screws "arrows" and remove the air duct by moving it downwards.



Loosen the clamp "arrow" and remove the air hose "1" from the intercooler.



Unscrew the screw "arrow" on the left and right. Disconnect the lower part of the air duct "1" from the fasteners and remove.



Lift the fastening bracket "1", remove the coolant nipple and push it to the side.





Disconnect connector "1" from oil pressure sensor, step 3 "F447" "2". Unscrew the "arrow" screws and remove the toothed belt cover.

Caution: Risk of thread damage. The drive pulley screw has a left-hand thread.

Hold the toothed pulley "1" of the cooling system pump by pressing on the toothed belt "2" and unscrew the bolt with a torque wrench "V.A.G 1331" with the open-end wrench "T10360". Remove the poly V-belt.

Installation

Installation in reverse order.

Note: Replace the drive pulley bolt "pos. 11". Pay attention to the mounting position of the drive pulley "pos. 12".

Fill with coolant.
