Disassembly
1. Press the piston out of the disc wheel brake caliper with compressed air.
Note. Insert a wooden plank into the hole so as not to damage the piston.
2. Remove the O-ring using a plastic wedge (3409).
Note. During extraction, take care not to damage the cylinder mirror.
3. Clean the piston and O-ring with alcohol and dry them.
Note. Before proceeding with the installation. apply a thin layer of grease containing lithium (G 052 150 A2) on the piston and sealing ring.
4. Insert the O-ring into the disc wheel brake caliper.
5. Push the boot with the outer sealing lip onto the piston.
6. Install the inner sealing lip of the lip into the groove of the cylinder. using a plastic wedge (3409). While doing this, hold the piston in front of the disc wheel brake caliper.
7. Insert the piston into the disc brake caliper using the piston installer (T 10145) (1).
Note. The outer sealing lip of the collar will then lock into place in the piston groove.
