Note: Follow the instructions for replacing pads. After replacing the brake pads, firmly press the brake pedal several times with the vehicle stationary so that the brake pads are in their working position. To drain the brake fluid from the reservoir, use the brake fluid filling and bleeding tool, eg -U4S 5234-. Before removing the brake caliper or before disconnecting the brake line from the brake caliper, fit a brake depressor, eg -VAG 1869/2-.
1. Protective shield
2. Torx screw, 12 Nm
3. Brake disc: replace on both axle wheels; to remove, first unscrew the screws of the brake caliper
4. Bolt, 4.5 Nm
5. Brake shield: screwed to wheel bearing housing
6. Brake pads: with wear indicator; with appropriate wear (minimum lining thickness: 4 mm) the control lamp in the instrument panel insert lights up; replacement to be carried out on both wheels of the axle. Follow instructions for changing pads
7. Brake caliper: Do not unscrew the brake pipe to replace the brake pads. Follow instructions for changing pads
8. Bolt, 35 Nm: self-locking; replace after every removal
9. Bolt, 200 Nm: clean when reused
10. Wheel bearing housing: with screwed brake shield
11. Brake hose with O-ring and hollow screw, 35 Nm
12. Spring clamp brake pipe
13. Holder
14. Bolt, 8 Nm
